Water is the simplest and the most widespread element
in nature. It's a symbol of pureness and it has always been
used as a metaphor to exalt the clearness and transparency of
the soul.
Our organism needs a lot of mineral salts and at least two
liters and a half of water daily.
The first AQUA STORE AND BAR CONCEPT opened in 1999, from
an idea of the founder Angelo Lauria, at the FORUM Commercial
Center within Termini Railway Station in Rome, and is still
the only store dedicated exclusively to mineral water in
Italy.
“ The primary goal of the AQUA STORE AND BAR CONCEPT is
to supply scientific and technical information to customers,
assisting them in making an informed selection among Italian,
foreign and local brands of mineral water. The variety of
information, and the opportunity of tasting the various brands
of mineral water make AQUA STORE AND BAR CONCEPT a multimedia
center for guidance on selecting and purchasing water”.
Mineral waters are not all the same! In Italy, for example,
there are more than 245 labels, and each one has its own
characteristics, healthy qualities and taste.
The customer can choose among a large variety of Italian
and foreign mineral waters, still, carbonated, healthy and
flavored, in PET or glass bottles, some of them characterized
by a high design packaging.
Our philosophy can be summarized in a “ WATER - HEALTH -
WELL BEING “ concept. The mineral waters' therapeutic
qualities are the basis of the AQUA STORE AND BAR CONCEPT:
water as an essential and healthy product.
Thanks to the collaboration of a medical team, which takes
care of the project's scientific aspect, AQUA STORE AND BAR's
mission is to provide an awareness in the choice and
consumption of water, to inspire an appreciation of the
immense value and importance for our well being, while
simultaneously promoting its commercial value.
That's why AQUA STORE AND BAR CONCEPT has created, thanks
to the collaboration of Dr. Alessandro Zanasi, expert
ideologist, National President of the Water Resources
Association and effective member of the International Water
Academy of Oslo, the “Touch Screen” programme which suggest
the customer, through a personalized multimedial route, the
more suited kind of water to drink.
The AQUA STORE AND BAR CONCEPT is also involved in the
distribution of mineral water to luxury hotels, high level
restaurants, catering companies, fitness centers of Italian
and foreign brands. An original, yet simple idea that has
resulted in immediate success, due to the intense attention
from both the Italian
and international media.
Several other services are available: consulting and
assistance in the opening of waters bar, recommendations for
restaurants and fitness centers in their selection, creating a
“Carta delle Acque” (Waters' List) suggesting which type of
water is best suited for the food, and promotion of sporting
and fashion events.
Our ulterior objectives are improving the growth of the
AQUA STORE AND BAR CONCEPT project, by increasing number of
foreign and Italian mineral waters.
The openings of AQUA STORE AND BAR CONCEPT, both in Italy
and abroad will take place in the next three years, as Andrea
Rasca, CEO of Paralleli, and in charge of the development ,
tells us.
“ The interest for is not limited only to the Italian
territory, where in the next three years we will open in
railway stations, airports, and city centers, but our
development project also focuses on the international
franchising development; we will, within this year, open our
flag stores in Tokyo ? Japan.
Further we have already contacts with local partners
for opening our stores all around the world, Europe, USA, Asia
and South America ”.
The overall project developed by AQUA's design team have
enabled the creation of various planning of AQUA STORE AND BAR
highly innovative, both for their architectural and marketing
features than for their functionality and content.
Any element of the project, from the bar counter to the
illuminated panels, to the tables, to the reflective panels,
to the lighting system, has been designed to remind the
pureness and lightness of water.
AQUA STORE JAPAN
The first AQUA STORE AND BAR CONCEPT, an Italian shop
concept selling only mineral water, opened in 1999 in the
Termini Railway station in Rome. During a trip to Italy, in
year 2000, seeing it for the first time, one member of APO Co,
Ltd immediately recognized the high potential of that concept
and started the long but necessary process to introduce it on
the Japanese Market.
With the mission to provide support and information to the
final customer about water, drinking and health, AQUA STORE
aims to be a mineral water multimedia center, where to find a
wide range, scientific information as well as suggestions for
correctly and healthy consumption of this important and
essential product.
The first shop AQUA STORE JAPAN was opened in August 2004
in Tokyo, in the very central area of Nishi Azabu. With an
innovative design, completely developed in Italy, the shop
will offer a wide selection of products, information about the
different characteristics and the ways of drinking and it is
going to be a promotion center for many activities related to
mineral water.
Although the first shop is a very important achievement, it
is only the first step of the development in Japan of the AQUA
STORE concept. Further plans include:
opening of other shops in Tokyo, focusing on high
concentration of people and residential areas.
opening of AQUA STORE corners in stations, airports,
shopping malls and sport clubs.
distribution to restaurants, hotels, bars providing range,
information and service.
online sales: development of an AQUA STORE website for
online sales, in order to reach customers all over Japan and
offer them a service similar to the one they can have in the
shop.
Direct Marketing: sales through catalogues.
Office and Home delivery: subscription service and one shot
delivery to offices and private houses.
